Answers to frequently asked questions
How do you send my order? By next day courier.
Can you do the whole job for me, including the insert?
We are not offering this service
at the moment. It is possible that we will in the future.
Can
I print directly onto the covers using my laser printer?
No, we do not recommend this. The covers are thick and may jam.
Lasers work best on a smooth surface – our covers are made from high quality textured card. The
foil is printed onto the cards with a heat and pressure process: the heat from passing through the rollers of a laser printer
may affect the foil and transfer it onto the laser rollers. Embossed design cards may lose some of the
depth of the embossing if they are passed between laser rollers.
What can I have printed on the back of the cards? You can have whatever you like. This can include logos and
motifs as well as your own firm’s details in the typestyle which you normally use.
Can I have these details printed in a colour other than black?
Yes. There
is a colour change charge of £15. You can also have these details foil printed in gold, silver or
metallic bronze. For this there is a plate charge of £25.
What can I have printed on the front of the cards? The text will be printed in foil and there is a limit
of 40 characters (including spaces) on each line. We recommend keeping it very simple and to a minimum.
The cover designs are crisp and clean. Too much text will spoil the appearance. Additional
details would be better on the front page of the insert, below the photograph or title text.
What sort of paper should we use for the inserts? We recommend a good quality colour laser paper of
at least 120gm
Can I have my own design of
cover printed? Yes. This can be done in ink, foil or by embossing. Email or call us with your
design or thoughts. We will be happy to help and will work out a price for you.
